Māori Cultural Centre

Arterra Interactive delivered 3D animation, CGIs, real-time interactive application, 360 virtual tour and custom green screen filming of the proposed cultural centre to help in stakeholder engagement, community consultation, and media releases. These visualisations envision the future of the Maori community in the development of this purpose-built community facility.

Cumberland City Council has agreed to put a 20-year lease with Sydney Marae Alliance to build the first of its kind Maori Cultural Centre in Australia. The 15.16-hectare site at Hyland Road Reserve will develop the first traditional marae, a sacred meeting place for Maori communities outside New Zealand. Tony MacDonald, Managing Director of Arterra Interactive, attended the leasing agreement ceremony to celebrate and acknowledge this new milestone for the Maori community.
