Tunnel Boring Machines

Featured in SBS' documentary "Sydney's Super Tunnel", our 3D animation explores the interesting mechanism of tunnel boring machines. Making use of accurate survey data, we combined particle simulations with detailed CAD models and city models to produce an engaging engineering documentation, giving the audience a glimpse of what's happening underneath the city as these specialised giant worms work their way deep below Sydney Harbour.
